QSL

The Queensland State League (QSL) is one of the premier basketball competitions in South and Central Queensland, bringing together top-tier athletes across five competitive divisions.

HISTORY

Previously known as the SBL, the QSL now features Division One, Division Two, Youth League One, Youth League Two, and Youth League Three.

Since its introduction in 2022, the QSL Youth League has played a crucial role in the development pathway for young athletes, replacing the Under-21 junior representative competition.

This league supports emerging talents, peak performers, and experienced players transitioning from elite-level competition.

PHOENIX QSL

In 2025, the QSL competition continues to expand, with 76 teams from 17 associations set to compete in over 600 thrilling games. Sunshine Coast Phoenix is proud to be a key part of this growth, fielding teams across multiple divisions.

This season, Sunshine Coast Phoenix will have both Men’s and Women’s teams competing in QSL Division One. Additionally, the club is excited to support the development of future stars with three Men’s and two Women’s teams participating in QSL Youth League Divisions Two and Three.

With a strong group of athletes stepping up to represent the Sunshine Coast, Phoenix is eager to see the season unfold and showcase the depth of talent within our program. Stay tuned for an action-packed year as our teams compete at the highest levels of Queensland basketball!
