SCBA CarCoop Junior Academy: Developing Future Basketball Stars

Led by an impressive lineup of accomplished coaches, including Sean Page, Richard Dickel, Jordan Page, and Erin Bollman, alongside a dedicated team of emerging junior coaches, the Academy provides elite-level instruction tailored to align with SCBA’s playing systems and philosophies.

Our goal is to enhance each athlete’s ability to read the game, make smart decisions under pressure, and develop a deeper understanding of team roles and responsibilities. Through structured training sessions, game simulations, and expert mentorship, our athletes gain the tools they need to excel both on and off the court.

With a strong commitment to player development, the SCBA CarCoop Junior Academy continues to be a premier pathway for young athletes looking to take their game to the next level. We look forward to another exciting year of growth and achievement for our future basketball stars!

Girls Just Want to Have Fun Program

At Sunshine Coast Basketball Association (SCBA), we are committed to fostering a supportive and empowering environment for female athletes. This one-day event, designed for girls aged 8 to 18, has become a cornerstone of our efforts to elevate the female basketball experience on the Sunshine Coast.

GJWHF is more than just a fun day of activities; it’s a celebration of teamwork, empowerment, and female mentorship. We've been lucky to have previous Basketball Australia Opals athletes such as Rachel McCully and Kathleen McLeod, New Zealand’s Tall Fern Casey Lockwood, and even superstar NBA referee Jaquie Dover join us to share their stories and wisdom with our participants.

Sunshine Coast Basketball League (SCBL)

Bridging the Gap Between Club and Representative Basketball U12s Program.

The Sunshine Coast Basketball League (SCBL) is a pivotal interclub competition designed for athletes from Under 12 through to Opens. Acting as the crucial step between club basketball and representative play, SCBL provides a competitive environment that fosters growth, skill development, and game experience for aspiring players.

SCBL brings together teams from Caloundra Heat, Suncoast Clippers, and Noosa Cyclones, creating an action-packed competition that showcases the talent emerging from the Sunshine Coast basketball community. This league plays a vital role in preparing players for the higher intensity of representative basketball while maintaining the camaraderie and passion of club competition.

As we continue to build the future of Sunshine Coast basketball, SCBL remains a key stepping stone for young players aiming to reach their full potential. We look forward to another exciting season of competition, teamwork, and player development!
